The Final Update till...

Well...

The long wait is finally over. Our trip out to California started on a very pleasant note for Hannah and I. The day we left to head out there we received our call from the Belgian Consulate in Atlanta that we could go get our Visas! Hannah booked our appointment for this past Monday at 10 in the morning. Our whole time in California was just so relaxing knowing that as soon as we would get back our life to Europe would be on a fast track!

The one thing that had to happen before we were to head to Atlanta was to buy our tickets for Brussels because the Consulate needed the date for our visas. So, we were able to get our tickets for July 2!

So here is the little humor of all of this. Abe, our cat, weighs about 12/13 pounds... this is an issue because the majority of airlines companies who allow cats and dogs in the cabin have a limit around 8-10 pounds! The airline we were able to get has the highest limit we could find but Abe is still over weight! So... Abe is on a diet! Please keep him in your kitty prayers that he loses his weight!

Getting our visas was fun. We took off Sunday morning, drove 8 hours to my aunt and uncles, got up early then drove to the Consulate. We waited 20 minutes, then was back in the car driving another 8 hours back to Fort Myers. A couple hundred bucks in gas and we had our visas ;)

So... everything has been set. Now just enjoy each day we have left here...

California and all it has to offer...

Most of you may know that Nolan and I just spent the last week or so in southern California. We arrived in LAX on the 29th of May and received by my best friend, Alex, and her husband, Darren. As I've seen in my life as of late there are seasons for everything, and this past year or so has been a very dry season for us when it comes to having any kind of social life. This last week we spent in so. cal. with friends and family was like having rain poured down on our dry season. I'm so thankful that the door was opened for us to get out there before we soon head across the world.
