This last week Nolan had the opportunity to speak at the National Honor Society at FMCS. As he shared about the fourteen years since he was in NHS I heard something deeper in his heart and a reminder of why we are going to Europe. Our lives have been somewhat mundane and rather normal these last few months and in those times it is easy to forget the reasons we are going to Belgium. Listening to Nolan share his journey and experiences he had while he was in 7th and 8th grade and how he got to where he is now reopened my eyes to the heart to follow God where ever he may lead us. That is the joy we have in going to Belgium. We know that is where God is leading us for this time. It is exciting to follow that leading. We have to wake up each day and do what anyone who is confident in their God would do, as Nolan shared. There is peace in surrendering and joy to know he is in control and leading our life.
